The
Suffolk County SPCA’s mission is to investigate animal cruelty,
promote proper pet care through education, and to mobilize and
activate Pet-Friendly Disaster Shelters during emergencies.

Friends,
One of the
joys of preparing an annual report is that it gives us the
opportunity to look back and be thankful for all that has been
accomplished. The past fiscal year was filled with wonderful
opportunities and many challenges. Some of the highlights were:

Investigated
almost 3000 reports of animal cruelty in Suffolk County
·
Inoculated 1700
dogs & cats with rabies vaccinations
·
Created a revised
Comprehensive Emergency Response Plan for the SCSPCA
·
Created a new
Pet-Friendly Evacuation Shelter program, the first of its kind
EVER in Suffolk County and the region.
The
